Gram Panchayat-level Tree Committee

Panchayat Level Tree Committee

Tree Conservation and Public Safety Coordination

The Panchayat Level Tree Committee has been constituted to conserve trees in public roads and public places, and to prevent potential hazards caused by uprooted trees or falling branches. The committees are formed as per Local Self Government Department Circular No. 248/RC3/2016/LSGD dated 14.07.2017. The committee operates at the local level to ensure timely decisions during emergencies and to avoid procedural delays involved in obtaining approval from the District Level Tree Committee for felling trees.
